DIY Flat Tummy Tea: All Tea, No Shade, No Bloating.

No, this is not the tea that all the Instagram models are posted up with in their pics. It’s something natural, something cheap, and something that works. I drank it for a few days and I noticed significant changes, from no bloating, no cramps during my TOTM and energy boost and to a suppressed appetite. It’s super easy and all the ingredients are super affordable.

Ingredients

Green Tea

Apple Cider Vinegar (With The Mother)

Honey

Ginger

Aloe Vera Water (optional)

Lemon or Lemon Juice

As for my measurements, I use two tablespoons for ACV, two bags of green tea, a small piece of ginger, and I eyeball the honey or to taste. Warning, the ginger and ACV taste might be potent, but I promise you these two agents works together and do wonders to the body as well as the digestive track.

I’m Fat Again…Restarting The Journey

“Here she goes again right?” ” Starting over?” Let’s address the elephant in the room. Somewhere down the line I lost sight of my goals. I’m not afraid to admit it or be transparent about this. I used to enjoy working out, meal prepping, every post was about health and fitness. Little did y’all know but my motivation was all wrong. I wanted that REVENGE BODY and dropped 44lbs to impress everyone but me. Let’s skip to the end of 2015 into 2016. I was drinking like a sailor, turning up and putting whatever kind of food into my body. I was missing a lot of things, self-love and discipline were the main two.  My weight is something I’ve always struggled with, and I’m an emotional eater. If I’m happy, sad, mad, stressed or in between I’m eating. Skip to the end of 2016 and into 2017. I see the changes in my body and my significant weight gain and I’m unhappy with it. In addition to my insecurities, my anxiety and depression were off the wall.  Do you think I went to the gym? No. I continued to eat. It’s still an uphill battle and I have my days, but I’m finally done and I want to see a change. I’m detoxing my life, bad food, alcohol, candy, toxic situations, bad habits, people, ALLAT! It has to go. I realized that my weight is something I’m going to have to work at forever, and it doesn’t matter how many times I hit the reset button, as long as I do.  I’m starting this journey for the billionth time and committing to it. It’s time I became consistent for once in my life, but that’s another blog post. I will be using this in conjunction with my YouTube Channel and old fitness Instagram to hold myself  accountable and restart document the process.

Moni Meals – Lunch Edition

Here’s quick cute recipe I saw on Pinterest and made my own. The cook time is extremely short and this meal can easily be taken on the go.

Ingredients.

  • cups of cooked chicken breasts diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (substitute of chicken if you don’t like mushrooms)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed veggies (or Broccoli)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon of  salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Moni Meals. -Late Night Snack Edition

Late Night snacking a problem for you? Look at this healthy alternative. Baked Kale Chips.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Bunch of Kale
  • 1 Teaspoon of Seasoned Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  3. Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.

Quiet Cardio.

Do you want to workout but live in an apartment building or don’t want to watch your roommates or neighbors with your noise. Here’s an effective routine I used in the summertime when I was working out at home. Be sure to have a jug of water handy and prepare to feel the burn.

What’s The “Skinny” On Detox Water.

Skinny Water, Sassy Water, Detox Water, whatever name you may know it by has been a trend among the healthy living community. Some people say it’s a quick fix to weight loss but what’s the truth? What’s in it? Does it work?

Sassy water, or detox water contains, Lemons, Mint, Cucumber And Ginger, however you are not limited to these ingredients. To satisfy my personal taste, I used a combination of just lemon and mint. The cucumber water taste was not appealing at all and I wasn’t crazy about using ginger.

Did it work? We all know that water is naturally a weight loss agent. Drinking water flushes toxins out of the body and helps to alleviate bloating.Y es, the Sassy water did work for me but here are some things to take note of. Paired with lemon I noticed a decrease in bloating. In addition to drinking the Sassy Water, I workout between 5-7 days a week. Also, Sassy water should not be used when working out. I suggest you use your standard plain water.
